Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, Serbia organizes scientific conference every two years. The concept of the conference allows psychologists from Serbia and other countries in the region to exchange experiences and information regarding the results of the current research in various fields of psychology.

The first scientific conference organized by the Department of Psychology was held in 2005 under the title "Psychosocial aspects of social transition in Serbia". In 2007 and 2009, the conferences were held under the title "Psychology and society". Since 2011, the conference is organized under the title "Current trends in psychology" (STuP). STuP is organized with the substantial support and participation of colleagues from other universities and institutions from Serbia and other countries in the region.

We constantly strive to improve the content and organization of the conference. This is most evident in the careful selection of plenary speakers and the constantly growing attendance and increasing interest of psychologists from different countries to participate in the conference.
